Sunburst Shutters Company History: How We Brought Custom Shutters to New Brunswick
Sunburst Shutters was started in the early '70s in Phoenix, AZ, by people who believed they could make a better shutter than any other on the market.
The vision to be the best shutter company has changed every aspect of the window treatment business. Sunburst started offering an in-home consultation where design professionals brought samples into a customer’s house to walk them through picking the best window treatment product. On top of that, Sunburst set out to hire sales staff that were attentive and friendly – and, at the same time, experienced and helpful. Homeowners across the US fell in love with Sunburst Shutters at first sight.
In the '70s, draperies and blinds were the standard window treatments in most homes. That’s when Sunburst Shutters gave consumers a longer lasting and energy-efficient window treatment: plantation shutters.
Originally, the company offered wood shutters only. But it was instantly obvious that Sunburst should make the ultimate shutter – one that provides premium energy efficiency, and looks as charming 20 years from now as the day you had it installed. After much research, sampling, and testing, Sunburst revealed its Polywood Shutters.
Once Sunburst offered the premium shutters in the marketplace, they grew considerably, opening locations across America. In 2008, Sunburst Shutters expanded its offerings into blinds, shades, draperies, and window film – and changed its name to Sunburst Shutters & Window Fashions.
Now, Sunburst Shutters & Window Fashions offers any treatment for any size or shape of window – all custom-built and professionally installed. With more than 2,000 window treatment choices and options, Sunburst is the absolute source of window treatment products in America.
